Symptoms of Iron Deficiency
There are often little to no symptoms of iron deficiency or symptoms may come on slowly with no sudden change in feeling or energy level. However, some common symptoms do include:

Tiredness

Breathlessness

Anxiety, Irritability, Mood Swings

Dizziness or Light-headedness

Headaches

Pale, yellow skin

Cold hands and feet

Brittle nails or hair loss

Unusual food cravings
Talk to your health care provider if you notice any of these symptoms or think you might be iron deficient. Your physician will take a blood test to diagnose if you have anemia and determine what might be causing the anemia to occur.
